5G Channel Estimation Based on Whale Optimization Algorithm

چکیده

This paper presents a novel approach, based on the whale optimization algorithm (WOA), for channel estimation in wireless communication systems. The proposed method provides means to accurately estimate channel, while not requiring statistical characteristics of channel. uses WOA search best toward ultimate goal having smallest bit error rate (BER). approach is aimed at enhancing efficiency pilot-based OFDM systems under frequency-selective fading channels used performance testing 5G New Radio gNodeB. In terms BER and mean square (MSE), WOA-based evaluated compared with conventional least (LS) minimum (MMSE) algorithms. simulation results demonstrate that highly competitive over MMSE significantly outperforms LS variety system configurations. Since requirement prior statistics information makes impractical or extremely complex, should be suitable promising candidate dealing problems. framework implemented MATLAB available upon request.
